The artist behind mimosa by m.e. is me- madeline ellis

Since receiving my degree in landscape architecture I spend my days designing and creating outdoor spaces that bring people a bit closer to nature. I spend my nights designing and creating pieces inspired by nature. My pieces not only include many natural materials but I strive for them to have the same qualities as the nature around us, strength and timeless beauty. My passion is creating one of a kind custom pieces I can hand make special and unique.

I live down in south louisiana and everything about this place from the food to the landscape inspires my jewelry and art. I share my life with my wonderful very ambitious and very supportive husband Dawson and our two ridiculously cute dogs Rook and Willie.

I handcraft each piece myself with many prayers and happy thoughts for it’s future owner. Many of my pieces include fine& sterling silver of the highest quality, natural stones, glass, wood and other natural materials. All of my silver s weighed and priced accordingly. All earrings come with hypo-allergenic earring hooks unless otherwise noted and can be changed out for sterling silver for $2.00 extra. I like to live by the recycle, reuse, relove motto, I will make a note of this in the description and when possible I will include the story of how the unique reloveable piece came to be. I have aquired many of m beads and findings on my travels throughout the U.S., Europe, Asia, Central America and the South Pacific, where I literally carried them home in my backpack. I make a note of these special pieces wherever they are listed. I love sharng the memories of these places through my jewelry.
